IT’S MAJESTIC! ATLANTIS TO DEBUT NEW CRUISE VESSEL FOR OAHU, MAY 27
Revolutionary Seakeeper Stabilizing Technology Installed for Cruising Comfort
HONOLULU – Atlantis Cruises is introducing the next generation of vessel to enjoy dinner cruises at sunset and special events in the waters off Oahu and its name, fittingly, is Majestic.
With its sleek, yacht-like design the 150-foot Majestic is Atlantis’s newest state-of-the-art cruise vessel, offering a multitude of options to host couples, families, tour groups, and private functions. Appealing features of Majestic include two classy, but expansive air-conditioned decks lined with panoramic windows and high ceilings, a huge open-air top deck for viewing outdoors, and cutting-edge technology to ensure a comfortable ocean cruise.
Atlantis acquired Majestic early this year and shipped it from Long Beach to Hawaii in late April. Majestic has been inspected and approved by the Coast Guard for tour operations and is currently undergoing final preparations. A blessing ceremony will be held May 26, with Majestic offering its inaugural sunset dinner cruise on May 27.
“Majestic is a significant upgrade in quality of experience and being able to customize what we can offer guests seeking a luxurious ocean cruise tour in Hawaii’s waters,” said Ronald Williams, president and CEO of Atlantis Adventures, parent company of Atlantis Cruises. “Majestic is larger than our Navatek cruise vessel. Its spaciousness, floor plan design and interior décor makes it much more comfortable for guests to move about, enjoy the spectacular views and be entertained.”
Williams added that the layout and amenities of Majestic’s three decks, which includes roomy dining areas, a large dance floor, bar and lounge, and space to host a private reception, will provide Atlantis with the flexibility to create new tour experiences and fulfill special requests. Private parties and special celebrations can be held without being interfered by guests enjoying the sunset dinner cruise. The vessel can comfortably accommodate up to 400 guests.
With Majestic’s introduction into service, Atlantis will retire its Navatek cruise vessel on May 27. Future plans for Navatek have not been determined.
Williams said, “Navatek has been a wonderful cruise vessel the past 16 years and made a lot of happy memories for guests who saw the ocean’s beauty and captivating views of Oahu from the sea. Majestic is the future for Atlantis and we’re excited about showing our guests a new and better way to enjoy the cruise experience in Hawaii.”
Seakeeper Technology Ensures a Comfortable Cruise Experience
Majestic offers the latest advancement in boat stabilization technology called Seakeeper. Atlantis installed the Seakeeper onto Majestic to ensure its guests would enjoy a more comfortable cruising experience. How the technology works can be seen at www.seakeeper.com.
Variety of Cruise Experiences to be Offered
Majestic will begin service by offering daily sunset dinner cruises, evening cruises for special occasions, such as the 4th of July, Halloween and Thanksgiving, and daily whale watch cruises from late December through early April. The vessel will be berthed at Pier 6 of Aloha Tower Marketplace.
Sunset dinner cruises will begin at 5:30 p.m. and guests will be treated to views of Waikiki, Diamond Head and Oahu’s south shore while enjoying dinner, entertainment and dancing. Guests are offered an all-you-can-eat Island Style Buffet as they cruise. Children 6 years old and under go free on Atlantis Cruises.
The Island Style Buffet Cruise features garlic shiitake teriyaki chicken, fresh catch fish of the day, and Hawaiian rock salt crusted pork with gravy as entrées, along with mashed potatoes, rice and vegetables as side dishes, appetizers, dessert, and soft drinks. Cost is $109.00 for adults and $56.00 for children (ages 7-12).
Information and reservations is available online at www.AtlantisAdventures.com or by calling toll-free at (800) 548-6262. Complimentary transportation from select Waikiki hotels is included. Prices are subject to the Harbor Fee and Hawaii General Excise Tax.
